Meet: 9:30 AM at Wildcat Ridge (Hibernia Rd.) Parking Lot, Rt-513 (Green Pond Rd.), Rockaway, NJ 07866

From I-80 West, Exit 37: Turn left at bottom of ramp onto Rt-513 North (Green Pond Rd.). Go about 2.75 miles to Wildcat Ridge parking lot on right (entrance to lot slightly obscured)

Sunday                   November 13, 2011                   Palisades to Riverdale, NY                    Strenuous

Starting at Ross's Dock at river level, just N. GW Bridge, we hike up the cliff & across the GWB. Then we continue North through Ft. Tryon, Inwood Hill, and Riverdale Parks. Enroute we pass the Cloisters &, perhaps, the Wave Hill estate. Return by subway (B-way line) to 181 St. Then walk the GWB & down the cliff to Ross's Dock.  About 9 miles.

Meet: 9:00 AM                    Ross’s Dock, Henry Hudson Dr, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.

From Rt-4, Rt-46, I-80: Proceed east to the George Washington Bridge Area, and exit at the sign “last exit before the tolls." Continue on this ramp (parallel to the bridge approaches) crossing several lights until the “T” intersection with Hudson Terrace (Rt-505). Turn right on Hudson Terrace, not entering the Park, and continue 0.3 mi on Hudson Terrace; to the entrance of the Henry Hudson Dr. on the Left. Enter going down, about 1 mi, passing under the GWB to the rotary and bear right to Ross’s Dock Parking area.

We will meet at Wawayanda park office off Warwick Turnpike and then drive to Rt-94/AT crossing site and climb up the "Stairway to Heaven" to viewpoint, and then hike eastward back through the park a distance of about 7 miles.

From I-287 Exit 55: Go north on Ringwood Ave. (Rt-511) about 13 miles to Warwick Tpk. at south end of Greenwood Lake. Continue straight-ahead 5 mi. on Warwick Tpk. past Upper Greenwood Lk. Turn left at park entrance. Ranger Station is ½ mi ahead.

From Palisades Interstate Parkway Northbound: Continue north following both Rt-6 west and the PIP until the intersection of

Rt-9W at the Bear Mt. Bridge. (18 miles north of New York State Thruway) Go north on Rt-9W 8+ miles. At the top of the hill, on the right, is a view point and the parking area.
